DreamHack Balkan
DreamHack is coming to South East Europe! We are very proud to announce that the world’s largest digital festival will have an event in Romania – DreamHack Balkan – which will will cover the countries in the Balkan region of Europe: Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Serbia.
The event will be organized by PGL (Professional Gamers League) and will take place between 29 and 30 October in Romania, featuring the best Counter-Strike 1.6 and StarCraft II players in the Balkan area.
The DreamHack Balkan 2011 event will start with National qualifiers in all participating countries, where the best Counter-Strike teams and StarCraft II players will be selected, and it will continue at the regional final in Romania.
The main attraction of DreamHack Balkan will be the Counter-Strike tournament, based on the most played game in the entire South Eastern Europe. The second official tournament will be organized for StarCraft II one that will select a rising star in the StarCraft II scene to compete in the DreamHack Winter 2011 event. Alongside the two official tournaments, the Balkan event will also feature side events for other games.
The best 2 Counter-Strike teams from DreamHack Balkan will compete in the Dreamhack MSI BEAT IT tournament, which will take place during DreamHack Winter 2011 (24-27 November, Jonkoping, Sweden).
The Dreamhack MSI BEAT IT will feature the following prizes:
1. 100,000 SEK + 5x MSI GT780 Laptops
2. 50,000 SEK + 5x MSI Motherboards
3. 30,000 SEK + 5x MSI Graphic cards
4. 20,000 SEK
There will be 16 participating teams in the MSI BEAT IT tournament, selected from qualifiers around the world:

The StarCraft II winner of the DreamHack Balkan will compete in the DreamHack Sapphire AMD Championship during DreamHack Winter 2011 which will feature a 400 000 SEK prize purse.
