DreamHack arranges a lot of Esport tournaments for all audiences ranging from casual and fun to real hard core attracting professional players. All major gengres like Team FPS, Duel FPS, Racing, Fighting, Sports, Music and strategic games are featured. Most of the tournaments ar open for everybody and often starts in the BYOC area then moves on to a tournament area. The final for the main games is played in front of 1000 of people on the main stage or DreamArena Extreme.
Many of our partners, exhibitors and community friends arrange side tournaments with great prizes. Under the name PlayDH we also arrange alot of side tournaments both online and on our smaller festivals.

Information Regarding Prize Money Payments
The recipient of the prize money is the individual person or company/association/non-profit organization that has registered for the tournament. DreamHack AB will NOT pay out any prize money if the winner/s is not present at the Prize Ceremony, media interviews and connected photo-shoot. This is not negotiable.
Prize money will be paid within 90 days of the end of the event.
Prize money is only exempted from tax if the winning team is organized as a company/association/non-profit organization. Else the government will see the prize money as salary. DreamHack AB must therefore deduct both a general payroll tax and employment tax from the won prize amount, before the money is paid out to teams/players that are not part of such organizations.
NB: Competition prizes must be claimed within 30 days after the event.
Invoice info: The invoice shall have a due date 90 days from the time the invoice is sent.

Is the team/player not a part of a company, organization or association and a non-resident of Sweden?
If you are one of the winners of DreamHack’s tournaments, and are a non-resident of Sweden, you have to download the application “Special income tax on non-residents”.

Fill out the application and hand it to DreamHack Admin when you have won your tournament.
Note: this only applies if the player/ team is not members of a company/organization/association.
