
DreamHack presents the eSports hall of DreamHack Summer 2012 16-19 june and the overview map so you know where you can find all the action!
DreamHack Summer 2012 wil be a blast for all eSports fans out there! In total we host 14 official and partner tournament’s with a total prize purse of 1 690 000 SEK. DreamHack Summer 2012 will feature official DreamHack tournaments in Counter-Strike 1.6, Dota 2, League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth, StarCraft II, Super Street Fighter: Arcade Edition and Street Fighter X Tekken. In co-operation with Stunlock Studios/Funcom we’re also having Bloodline Champions on-site and together with Inferno Online and Telia we’re hosting the National Finals in E-sport SM. Today we’re also proud to introduce the overview map of the eSports Hall.
In the eSports Hall you will find the Tournament Areas of all official DreamHack-tournaments. All main tournaments is played in this area and you can easily walk around and watch matches live on-site. In some of the areas you will also find casters, like Quake Live where we’ll have the Levelup-team and in the Street Fighter-area where we’ll have ArmsHouse and Fighting for Sweden.
DreamHack is also building three new smaller stages in the eSports Hall. The purpose is to make sure you can follow the most interesting matches in a better way then from the Tournament Area. All 3 stages will feature big-screen projection, sound and also the 2 casters on-stage. One completely new stage for StarCraft 2 will be built inside Hall E, in direct connection to Hall C. One new stage for League of Legends just in the bottom of the map. and one stage for Dota2 in the upper right corner of the map. (See map below)

In Hall B, DreamExpo, we’ll also have additional eSports content. S2Games and HonCast will have stage/booth where you can watch the Heroes of Newerth tournament with some of world’s best commentators casting it. DreamHack will also have secondary StarCraft 2 stage inside DreamExpo to be announced and of course we’ll have the Telia / E-sport SM booth where all the 5 tournaments in the Swedish Championship will be played.
In addition to this we’ll of course also have DreamArena Extreme, featuring 1100 seats, inside the mighty Hammarsköldssalen at Elmia. In DreamArena Extreme all Grand Finals will be played and feature some full media production. More information about DreamArena Extreme will be released soon.
DreamHack and Twitch.TV will set-up the official Player Lounge of the event in Lobby South where we’ll have huge Lounge Area where only the main tournament players can access. We’ll announce this area in detail together with Twitch.TV later on.
