“The next generation network!”
In this talk you’ll get the story on what actually happened on the world IPv6 day and how it affects DreamHack. Robin ”DrZobin” Larsson and Alexander “wberg” Wågberg will talk about the future of networking, in specifics the next generation internet protocol IPv6!
The IPv6 technical design and implementation on DreamHack will be described from both a service, network and client perspective. Lessons learned over the years starting from the first time DreamHack used IPv6 and ending with a live demonstration of what you can visit if you go IPv6 only today!
The DreamHack network is made possible by about 30 volunteers (out of a total of 500) who together plan, build, run and tear down the event in a total period of three months. The start of construction is five days before the event is opened for visitors.
Karl “IcE” Andersson, team leader for the network team, will talk about the building and operation of the DreamHack network. Some of the incidents that we have had during the years and how they are mitigated will be described as well.
Come see us at DreamArena Orange, Sunday 19:00!
Welcome!
