The DreamHack Dota2 Invitational presented by The GD Studio

DreamHack and The GD Studio are proud to kick off the DreamHack 2013 eSport competitions with an online Dota2 Invitational. Throughout March and April, 8 teams are invited to compete for $6000 in prize money and a guaranteed qualification slot to the DreamHack Summer DotA2 Championship.

The online tournament will feature 2 groups of 4 teams, where each will compete in a round robin format to advance from the group stage, to a single elimination bracket, where one team will be crowned champion.

Our broadcast and organization partner for this event will once again be The GD Studio, who produced our DreamHack Winter DotA2 stream. They will be returning to broadcast all matches live from The GD Studio HQ in Stockholm, Sweden. The Broadcast team will include: James ’2GD’ Harding, Andy ‘Draskyl’ Stiles, Johan ‘wEppas’ Westberg, Rikard ‘Skrff’ Melin, Bruno ‘Statsman’ Carlucci and Nikas ‘Wagamama’ Högström. All matches will be streamed on The GD Studio’s Twitch channel at http://www.twitch.tv/thegdstudio.

14th: 6pm CET: Empire vs EG, 9pm CET: Red Panda vs TL
17th: 9pm CET: Empire vs Red Panda

21st: 6pm CET: Red Panda vs EG 9pm CET: Empire vs TL

Group B: Dignitas, FnaticEU, Mousesports, No Tidehunter

March 24th-31st
24th: 6pm CET: FnaticEU vs NTH 9pm CET: Mouz vs Dignitas
27th: 6pm CET Dignitas vs NTH
28th: 9pm CET: FnaticEU vs Mouz
31st: 6pm CET: NTH vs Mouz 9pm CET: FnaticEU vs Dignitas

RO6, semifinals, and finals TBD in April 2013, all times tentative and may have change slightly.

Format:
8 invited teams, 2 groups with 4 teams each
Round robin group stage
Top 3 advance to playoffs:
1st place each group gets direct seed to semi finals
2nd/3rd from each group play each other to advance to semifinals (RO6)

All matches are BO3, finals BO5
