$40,000 USD Hearthstone Grand Prix at DreamHack Summer 2015

DreamHack is excited to announce that Hearthstone will be returning to Jonkoping, Sweden for DreamHack Summer 2015, and this time with a brand-new format! This year’s tournament will use an open, non-elimination Swiss system followed by an elimination stage, with $40,000 USD in prize money up for grabs! We want to discover Hearthstone’s next star, and with hundreds of players competing on an even playing field, predicting a winner will be next to impossible.

The tournament will take place live at DreamHack Summer 2015 from June 13-15th, with two days of Swiss play happening on the 13th and 14th. All matches will be played in two heats with seven rounds of Swiss play throughout these two days. On June 15th, the top eight players will battle it out in a single-elimination stage to determine who has the best decks, plays and RNG in this unique tournament!

We’re extremely excited to test out the Swiss format in this tournament, and we hope to build on the system in the future to create a platform where all Hearthstone players can test their mettle in a live environment.
