DreamHack returns to Moscow, December 5-6th

Last year for the first time ever, DreamHack, the World’s largest digital festival held its first event in Russia on April 13-14th attended by over 6,000 spectators. During the last event the atmosphere was electric and DreamHack Moscow served as a strong signal the global nature of esports and gaming. This year we are excited to announce DreamHack will return to Moscow, with DreamHack Moscow being held December 5th and 6th.

The event venue will be announced within the coming weeks, and it will be a much larger venue than the previously used Stadium Live, to be able to fit more visitors, as well as bring new content to the event. A BYOC area in the event is a key consideration to bring more of the traditional LAN party DreamHack style to the event. As well as alongside professional tier world class competition, also featuring participation focused BYOC competitions in a number of titles.

Game Show is the local operating partner for DreamHack in the Russian and CIS countries, and will once again be hosting the event. Alongside this the finals for the Game Show Dota 2 League in the second half of 2015 will have an adjusted schedule to have the finals held live at DreamHack Moscow 2015. The tournament will featuring a base $100,000 prize pool along with a crowd-funded boost from the DotaTV ticket sales. With the Game Show Dota 2 League as the primary professional competition, DreamHack Moscow will also hold tournaments in a variety of disciplines for amateurs and semi-professionals to be able to demonstrate their skills, and compete on stage at a major event.
