DreamHack arranges a lot of Esport tournaments for all audiences ranging from casual and fun to real hard core attracting professional players. All major genres like Team FPS, Duel FPS, Racing, Fighting, Sports and strategic games are featured at DreamHack festivals at some level. Many of the tournaments are open for everybody and often starts in the BYOC area then moves on to a tournament area. The final for the main games is played in front of thousand of people on dedicated esport arenas, the main stage or DreamArena Extreme.

COUNTER-STRIKE:GLOBAL OFFENSIVE


With the newly announced DreamHack ZOWIE Open, we are pleased to present you with what we have in store for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive this season. Following a very successful 2015 with CS:GO, the world’s best first-person shooter will be a part of DreamHack ZOWIE Open. As apart of the 2016 season, CS:GO will feature a $500,000 prize pool, spanning across five worldwide stops, including the first DreamHack event in North America. HEARTHSTONE


In 2016, the DreamHack Grand Prix circuit will be expanded to feature four stops at DreamHack events. Each one will host a major open Swiss tournament for all to compete in. The tournament will feature a $27,500 prize pool, roughly 200 competitors, and will be played out over 3 days. In addition, DreamHack will also be adding extra side events and tournaments for players knocked out of the main contest on day 1 or 2. Each stop on the circuit will have side tournaments on the second and third days, with $5,000 in prizes on offer for players who weren’t too lucky in the Swiss competition.

HEROES OF THE STORM


The third stop of the DreamHack All-Stars 2016, DreamHack Summer on June 18-21, will host the $500,000 Heroes of the Storm Summer Global Championship! DreamHack will return to Jönköping, Sweden this June with its biggest DreamHack All-Stars production yet as it hosts the Heroes of the Storm Summer Global Championship. $500,000 is up for grabs as teams from all over the world gather to determine who is the global champion

MORTAL KOMBAT XL


We are very happy to announce that Mortal Kombat is back at DreamHack and DreamHack Summer 18th-20th june at Elmia in Jönköping. During DreamHack Summer 2016 Mortal Kombat XL and will be featured in two tournaments with a total prize pool of $13000 a trip to EVO for the very best player. All MKXL activities will be featured in the Mortal Kombat booth in the DreamExpo, Hall B, make sure to stop by and follow the action live!

STREET FIGHTER V


Street Fighter V Capcom Pro Tour at DreamHack Austin and Summer 2016

DreamHack are very happy to once again be a part of the Capcom Pro Tour for the upcoming 2016 season. This season Capcom Pro Tour features the brand new game, Street Fighter V and a whole new structure of the tour. Capcom Pro Tour will be featured at DreamHack Austin May 6-8 as a North America Ranking event and at DreamHack Summer 2016 as a Global Premier Event. SUPER SMASH BROS. MELEE


We are very excited to announce the 2016 plans for the DreamHack Smash Championship. The DreamHack Smash Championship tournament series will feature Super Smash Bros. Melee tournaments at DreamHack Austin in May, DreamHack Summer in June and DreamHack Winter 2016 in November. With a total prize pool of $50,000 we are positive that the competition will be fantastic for the audience at location and home watching the live stream.

ESPORTSM


ESPORTSM 2016 contains tournaments in Counter-Strike:Global Offensive, StarCraft II and Heartstone. At DreamHack Summer 2016 the best Swedish players will compete for the 300 000 SEK prize pool and the title Swedish ESPORTSM champion.

SMITE


The SMITE Masters at Dreamhack Summer 2016 will serve as the capstone of the Spring Split for the SMITE Pro League, bringing together the best teams from Europe, North America, Brazil and Hispanoamérica. The format is an eight-team, single-elimination tournament over three days, featuring the top three teams from each of the North American and European SPL Spring Splits, along with one team from Brazil and one team from Hispanoamérica. The winning teams will take home the largest portion of the Spring Split’s $450,000+ USD prize pool.

PALADINS

The Paladins Founder’s Tournament at Dreamhack Summer 2016 will mark the first-ever Paladins LAN tournament at the professional level. It will bring the top two teams from the Americas, along with the top two European Paladins teams together in a competition for a prize pool of $100,000 USD. The competing teams will be determined based on qualifying tournaments held during the Spring, details of which will be announced soon.

PAYDAY 2

There’s no place like home! This is very true and we are therefore looking forward to DreamHack Summer and the origin of DreamHack. At DreamHack Summer in Jönköping you’ll get the chance to compete in the OVERKILL PAYDAY 2 Tournament.

Every day the fastest crew will win $10.000 if they can muster Slaughterhouse on Death Wish. Other than robbing and shooting you can meet up with devs from OVERKILL and ask them questions, fraternize and maybe take a selfie. Who knows?
