DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship: First invites

DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship at DreamHack Winter 2013 will be one of the most anticipated tournaments in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive as 16 of World’s best teams will fight over $250,000 in prizes. Today we’re revealing the first invited teams in the Main tournament, but also more info about how your team can participate.

DreamHack have decided to announce the first invites, as 3 out of 6 teams gets a direct invitation to the tournament today. First of all, we’re excited to invite the french powerhouse VeryGames that recently won Starladder in Kiev but is widely known to be a top team in CS:GO. We’ll also invite american compLexity that is considered one of the best teams in US, celebrating their 10th anniversary soon and also will represent United States at ESWC and MSI Beat IT in China. Finally, we’re very happy to invite Astana Dragons that placed 2nd at Starladder but also placed 3-4th at DreamHack Bucharest.

In addition to this we’re very happy to announce that the top 2 teams, not already invited, at the RaidCall EMS One Fall 2013 Finals 26-27th October will get a direct slot in the DreamHack SteelSeries CS:GO Championship. DreamHack will also host a open online qualifier that will be played after EMS One, where two additional slots are given out to the winning teams. Detailed info will be released soon.

Today we’re also opening the BYOC-registration to the tournament. See full information about the BYOC qualifier below the team list.

BYOC-qualifier

At November 28 DreamHack will host an open BYOC-qualifier for all attending DreamHack participants. You need a BYOC-ticket to participate in the tournament. All teams need to register online and confirm their participation on-site at Game Crew Info Desk latest 15.00 CET 28th of November 2013. Your team is only eligible to participate in the tournament if all 5 team members have ticket and bring your own computers.

Tournament format: Group stage (4 team x 16 groups). Top-2 advance. Single Elimination BO1 Bracket. Top-2 team advance to Main tournament.
Tickets / Competitor fee: All competitors need to have Computer seat BYOC ticket (from 929 SEK) to be able to participate in tournaments. Buy tickets at bokning.dreamhack.se.
