CS:GO Online Qualifiers announced

FACEIT and DreamHack return for qualifiers in Europe and North America for the $250,000 DreamHack CS:GO Championship at DreamHack Winter 2014.

DreamHack CS:GO Championship at DreamHack Winter 2014 with $250,000 supported by the community was announced earlier this month. The top-8 teams from ESL One Cologne are already invited and now it’s time to find out who the next 6 teams will be. DreamHack will dedicate five slots for an open European qualifier, and one slot for a open North American qualifier. Two additional slots will be dedicated for international teams, and more information will be released about that very soon.

FACEIT will organize the official qualifiers in Europe and North America. The qualified teams will get a direct slot in the 16-team tournament, but will need to cover their travel & accommodation expenses in Jönköping, Sweden. DreamHack will next week announce all information about the special bootcamp possibility that DreamHack and Valve is offering all participating 16 teams, where also accommodation in Stockholm is covered. The Final Qualifiers will also be broadcasted by FACEIT.

European Qualifiers
For European teams, on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October FACEIT will host two open qualifiers for up to 256 teams, starting at 14:00 CEST. The top four of each will go into the Qualifier Finals, where they will be joined by eight invited teams, totalling it to sixteen teams. The Qualified Finals will take place on Tuesday 21 October at 19:00 CEST. The winners of the quarter finals (the top 4 teams) will qualify for DreamHack Winter!

A fifth spot will be available to the teams placing 5-8th in the Qualifier Finals, who will face each other in a small bracket on Wednesday 22 October, 19:00 CEST. The winner of this bracket will take the final Eurropean DreamHack Winter spot.

North American Qualifiers
North American teams will have two open qualifiers for up to 128 teams on Saturday and Sunday 19 October as well, both starting at 15:00 CDT. Of these open qualifiers, the top two will place themselves into the North American Qualifier Finals, together with four invited teams. The Qualifier Finals will be taking place on Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 October starting at 20:00 CDT. The winner will be taking the North American spot.
